TNG - Dev feelings
Hello i99v here,
Well, I'm making video games. Wow.
It's not easy to start this text in a foreign language for me, but here I go. I think for years I've been lost on what to do. I know I liked programming, and I know I liked videogames, but I never wanted to put them together, now I realize my mistake, I would love to have started years ago. A few months ago I decided to take the leap and learn unreal engine, I think that by now I have advanced a lot, I have done things that I never would have imagined and I have tried to touch all areas.
The Nightmare Guardian is a small project, a couple of weeks, where I wanted to capture the things I learned. It has been an important effort to create my own procedural world generation system, the minimap system, the enemy's ai (it's still quite silly), touching the materials, the postprocess, fixing bugs... and all this in a little more than two weeks (1 for the gameplay and another one for the visual section). It is true that I have had the help of a person and friend of the sector that has been supporting me and explaining me how the graphics work, how to improve them, etc. It has been a very pleasant experience.
The next step will be a bigger game, which will take more time.
I will continue to support TNG eventually, but not as a main character.
A little bit closer every day to my dream: To be able to be a professional in the industry and make a living out of it.
I hope you have enjoyed the game, the few of you who have tried it, I love you very much. Happy Halloween.

PS: Thanks to all the little people who have put up with me these weeks, I love you very much, especially the little rock that holds me.
